Kristi's Favorite Etsy

Why she loves this piece:

This was one of the very first Bouquet Bracelets that I made a few years back and they have since evolved into more intricate designs featuring more lavish bouquets of flower beading. This Violet Bouquet bracelet was designed with a more simple yet elegant approach featuring one bouquet in the front and I think the gentle violet coloring is perfect for a little Princess.I began designing children's jewelry 4 years ago when my husband and I were going through years of infertility and needed a "hubby" in the evenings to alleviate my stress. Funny enough I was an Accountant for 13 years so working with the artistic side of my brain was something new to me. As they say, that was all she wrote, I fell completely in love with making jewelry and have never stopped. Outside of caring for my daughter and trying to be a good wife, my waking moments are spent thinking about jewels and my new designs. Now that I have a daughter of my own I am inspired by all things Princess! We waited so many long hard years to have a successful pregnancy that inspiration for creating beautiful things is far from difficult.

Why Kristi loves this piece:

I LOVE all her stuff. I especially like her girl's and mom's bracelets. The girls' bracelets are so girly and sparkly and yummy. The mom's bracelet is daintier than most I see and includes names and not just birthstone color beads. She will custom design it to your specs.

My Favorite Etsy

Why she loves this piece:

This is one of my favorite pieces because I adore all of the gemstones used in this piece. The colors correspond wonderfully- they're all deep, rich, gorgeous colors. I also love the fact that it is a wrapped, multi-strand necklace that is a nice size, but not overly chunky. Add to that the absolutely divine Green Garnet Pendant with 2-1/2 feet of sterling silver wire, weaved into a sunburst frame and it's enough to take your breath away. I love the sparkle of gems added only to the edges of the sunburst to enhance the shape of the circle, which is a sign of eternity. It's simply a gorgeous piece.

Why I love this piece:

This necklace is absolutely breathtaking. It caught my eye right off. The colors just jump and the stones are magnificent. I adore this Etsymom piece. Well done, Tracey.

Etsymom epitomizes working with your children around you

Like most of us, Vicki has her daughter nearby when she's working. Her reasons may be a little different than for some of us! Vicki has a special section in her shop for her daughter. It's called Lauren's Corner! This is not only one talented Etsymom, but a talented daughter by her side. How fun!

Pictured is my daughter wearing her hair bling from Lauren! It really is cute, and we just love it

Thanks for showing us that doing our "work" doesn't always mean we aren't with our children. I know I'll get the guilts sometimes, but I do try and keep my kids around me. None of mine are old enough to work with me yet, but they do learn that work, creating, playing and having fun can go hand in hand.

I only hope one day my children (whichever ones want to) will take an interest in some of the things I do, and we'll be working side by side ;)

Vicki is a wonderful designer who has her jewelry carried in online boutiques as well as brick and mortar stores. She is so talented, and I always enjoy seeing what she comes up with next. Get your "hair bling" soon...before I snatch them all up!
