Happy Easter Giveaway #2 - StrayPathDesigns (Closed)

Today's giveaway is hosted by Carrie of StrayPathDesigns, a store filled with lovely bracelets made with bead crochet! Her choice of colors are brilliant too making her products truly unique and beautiful! Here is more from Carrie about her store and her passion for bead crochet!

What’s your store name and how long have you been an Etsymom?

My shop’s name is StrayPathDesigns and it was opened in October 2009. I joined Etsymom in December I think.

Tell us more about your store items and why you love making them?

All the items in my shop right now are bead crochet bracelets. Beads are strung onto a spool of thread in a specific pattern and then each bead is crocheted one-by-one into a tube. The thread ends are weaved to join the bracelet seamlessly. It is a pretty time consuming process (maybe 4-5 hours), but I find it relaxing.

The color and texture possibilities are endless! I love doing needlework anyway: I have always knitted and cross stitched, but these are very portable and give quicker gratification. My kids and friends love wearing them; often many at a time. They are so versatile and wearable!

What is one thing you want everyone to know about you?

I guess one interesting thing about me is that I LOVE music and cannot get enough on my IPod. Particularly Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, Indigo Girls etc. My 13 year old daughter and I share lots of our IPod faves. As soon as Aerosmith comes around again, we are there!

What’s your favorite thing to do during Easter?

Definitely dye Easter eggs. We always did it as a kid and now I love to do the same Paas kit thing with my kids. Then we hide them for the kids to find on Easter morning. Granted they are 13 and 10 now and I don’t think they find it as cool as I do!

How much Easter chocolate/candy bunny or eggs will you let your kid(s) eat?

We try not to overfill the basket so the supply will be limited…but they can pretty much go for it! I’m just glad they don’t like Peeps—yuk!
