What’s your store name and how long have you been an Etsymom?

My store name is Lil'Princesss Bowtique or short name Lilprincessbow (http://lilprincessbow.etsy.com). This name came from my daughter who wants to be a princess (mermaid princess to be exact.) and loves to dress up as one.

I’ve been an Etsymom since Oct last year and has met so many wonderful Etsymoms since then. I really enjoy posting on this blog and I hope you enjoy reading it too.

Tell us more about your store items and why you love making them?

It's not hard to guess what I have in my store...pretty hair bows for the lil'princesses around the world! My inspiration usually comes from the ribbons that I purchased. When I go to the store and see a pretty ribbon that I can’t put down, I know I will have to use it for my bows. Some of my favorite items are my Japanese inspired bows – Cherryblossom and Silky Orange (sold out). I just started making the flower loop bows as well which I really enjoy making. Now my newest favorite is my Daisy Clips (see the flower loop bow section in my store, I love all of them!)

I love making hair bows because I know little girls will smile when they see them. One of my first custom orders was for a disabled little girl who cannot talk. The feedback that I got back from the buyer is that the little girl could not stop smiling. Reading that feedback put tears in my eyes. After I got that feedback I know I will keep on making more and more bows for the little girls around the world to enjoy.

What is one thing you want everyone to know about you?

I really enjoy the outdoor and I try to take my kids to do things outside the house as much as possible. Lucky for me I get to do that a lot living in Southern California, where we get great weather year round. My favorite “sport” actually takes me away from So. Cal. I love snowboarding and we go to Mammoth ski area many times during the winter season. So if you see on my store announcement that I am away, I am most likely to be in Mammoth.

What’s your favorite thing to do during Easter?

I don’t really have one yet but I think it will be Easter egg hunt. We tried to take our kids (4 and 2) last year to one but we were late and all the eggs were hunted.  This year we will definitely try again and I’m sure it will become a favorite Easter activity.

How much Easter chocolate/candy bunny or eggs will you let your kid(s) eat?

On the Easter egg hunt day I will probably let them have a few pieces then I will put the rest in our storage and give them out as prize for good behavior.
