What’s your store name and how long have you been an Etsymom?

My store name is Natty Knits and I've been an Etsymom for only a few months.

Tell us more about your store items and why you love making them?

I design and knit toys, birds, bunnies, balls, fluffy monsters, hearts with wings, spiders and I've even knitted a Christmas tree. I use mostly washable yarn or I felt the toys to make them more child friendly. And their big eyes are made of ecofelt to keep choking hazzards to a minimum.

I love making up the patterns and knowing that other people will be knitting these cuties too. I also love giving the finished critters their features, each one of them has a different personality.

What is one thing you want everyone to know about you?

I used to be a jazz singer/songwriter, but I wasn't that brilliant and it's not a career for a Mom with a baby. So now I sing and read stories to preschoolers at the local bookstore. I've written a few kids songs, they always go down well and those toddlers can be a tough audience! I blog about the stories I read every week at http://clarethestoryteller.blogspot.com.

What’s your favorite thing to do during Easter?

On any public holidays I love to spend some time as a family, going on nature walks and discovering interesting parts of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

How much Easter chocolate/candy bunny or eggs will you let your kid(s) eat?

Luckily my son is only 3 and has yet to insist on chocolate at every meal. (I'm guessing that's coming, right?). In fact after we went trick or treating at Halloween he forgot he had the candy stash after only two days. Our family tends to give books as Easter gifts too, so we never have a storecupboard full of chocolate bunnies. That being said, everyone in our house loves Cadbury's Crème Eggs, so I'm sure we'll eat a few of those.
